Wow, that was a pretty weak...you do realize that Kobe bitches every time down the floor about a foul? Do you watch his games? He does it every time, the guy led the NBA in techs last season...Kobe bitches and moans about every call/no-call...so that really doesn't mean much.Truth is, that the Lakers got lucky this game. Did they ever change the Melo two to a three? Real question, I couldn't remember.

I'm telling you. Nuggets win game 2.......and the series eventually.

    Re: NBA Playoffs

    Lakers / Nuggets
Lakers in 6, maybe 5. The Nuggets must be completely stunned right now, to go out and play a great game, and have the Lakers not even firing on half its cylinders get the victory. Carmello played about as well as he could (16 points in the first quarter) and the Lakers still won. The Lakers talent and size advantage, along with the 20+ year playoff win streak against the Nuggets will have Burton13 eating crow. (not to mention having the best player in the game today on your team.)

    Cavaliers / Magic
My prediction is the Cavs in 6, but if it goes to a game 7 I believe the Magic will win.

If my predictions are true, this will set up a great NBA Championship matchup.
Kobe vs Lebron ( which people should get used to seeing these 2 teams in the finals facing off together, because this will not be the only time these teams will matchup.)
Kobe vs Lebron is a toss up, to me Kobe is the better player at the moment because of his experience as well as better shooting ability than Lebron. I believe Lebron is a better finisher at the basket than Kobe is though.
The winner of the NBA championship will be the Lakers.
Kobe vs. Lebron will be a wash. The Lakers win due to the better skill players around their all star.
People jumped off the Lakers band wagon, after the series with the Rockets, but if anyone will remember the Celtics did the exact same thing last year on their way to the championship. It's a new series which brings different match ups. The NBA is all about matchups. Kobe got basically any shot he wanted to against the Nuggets today, but he had to fight and scrap for every shot against the Rockets.

Kobe reminds me of Jordan. Jordan was the exact same way, but my guess is your a Jordan fan. I remember Jordan getting fined after a Pacers game for saying the referees swallowed their whistle. Everybody in the NBA whines about calls, NO exceptions. Jordan and Kobe have enough credibility and are and were usually right when they were arguing. Take today for example, Kobes Technical, He was upset and arguing the play before when the defender grabbed his left arm and held it while he was in the act of shooting. The replay showed Kobe to be right.

Beat me to it, I was about to say the same thing, almost verbatim.

Allow me to add that the refs loved Jordan so much that they rarely called T's on him even when he was showing them up something fierce. Why? Because he was Jordan. The messiah of the league in it's times of struggle.

The NBA's now a very successful league, second only to the NFL basically, and Kobe's a star, but he's not the whole ball of wax like Jordan was to the NBA. That's why Kobe gets T's for the same thing, and Jordan got by with murder most of his career. And I liked MJ, so no anti-MJ bias here--just calling it how it was/is.

As for Kobe being the biggest whiner or whining every game...he may do so, but no one does it more than Paul Pierce. I watched the Celtics' series against both the Bulls & Magic, and if Pierce touched the ball or went to the hole, contact or not--he was lobbying officials on his way back up the floor until he got to the foul line on the other team's end.

Lakers in 5. The Lakers played piss poor sloppy basketball and the Nuggets got a game out of Melo that will not happen again, and still lost.

The replay showed Kobe to be right. The replay also showed Billups' toe on the line. DO YOU even watch the games? Time for a checkup at New Vision Optical maybe?

    Re: NBA Playoffs

I don't know which game yall were watching, but the Nuggets didn't have this tremendously great game and was out played. The Nuggets played "okay", still outplayed the Lakers and handed this one to them. Better hope I'm wrong about game 2, because the Lakers will be in trouble if the Nuggets win it.

Of course every player complains, that's a given. Kobe just complains on almost every single possession, maybe he's right sometimes...but atleast make an effort to try and hustle down the court while you're doing your bitching. He has 5 techs so far in the playoffs and after 7 or at 7, he'll get suspended a game.

Lebron>Kobe..I'll go ahead and say it. He's rebounds, blocks, passes, penetrates, steals better and shoots just as good..Lebron is a better teammate and a better all-around player.

And I say the ball went off a Laker when it was tipped out of bounds with about 40/50 sec to go in the game. There's just as many calls that should have went Denvers way and if the foul was called on Ariza, that play wouldn't have existed. The game was handed to the Lakers and I don't see them HANDING them game 2.

Here's the thing that should worry you if you are a Denver team: Denver was well-rested,while the Lakers were worn out after having to battle Houston for 7. If the games are all close,Denver will find a way to screw up,because they are inexperienced on this stage (that showed last night big time).
